The annual village meeting is usually held on a date between March and May each year. It is open to everybody although only those who are resident within the Parish are normally allowed to speak. The meeting is planned for everyone within the village to get together to discuss any topics of local interest. Maybe you have ideas that might be of benefit to the village, perhaps there are problems that you think need resolving or something that needs doing (or not doing). It is designed to be an informal and user-friendly meeting. Various village organisations come to the meeting to let everyone know how they are getting on, what they are doing and want to do and generally advertise themselves. Also, we usually hear from our Borough Councillor about the latest developments in St Edmundsbury and from our County Councillor about what's happening Suffolk-wide.
If possible, or if there is a particular situation, then we like to have a speaker precede the meeting, after which everyone has a chance to put questions for clarification.
