Local amenities/services are as follows:

Keep Fit Club - meets in the village hall Tuesdays and Thursdays in school terms.
Women's Institute - meets in the village hall on the second Thursday in each month.
Parish Council - meets in the village hall approximately every 8 weeks.
Post Office - open Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri 9 am - 1pm and 2pm - 5.30pm
Medical Centre - Wickhambrook Surgery
Local shopping - Wickhambrook stores
Milk deliveries - Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Newspapers - daily - mornings and evenings (not Sundays)
Mobile library - every second Thursday stops at Pound Green at 9.45am and Queen Street at 10.05am.
Petrol Stations - nearest are Wickhambrook Stores and Stradishall Service Station.

Public House - Three Tuns  - opening times: Monday -Friday evenings 5pm - 11pm, Tuesday - Friday lunchtimes 12am - 2pm, Saturdays 12am - 11pm, Sundays 12am - 10.30pm.
Refuse collection (St Edmundsbury Borough Council). Most of the village has a collection every Tuesday morning (early!). The 3 bins are collected every 2 weeks  - the recycling bins (blue and brown) are collected on the same day in different freighters and alternate every other week with the black bin.  However, some parts of the village are collected on Wednesdays - ring 01284 757320 to check which you are on.
Village hall - the village hall is in Queen Street and is available for hire
Notice boards - there are notice boards on the village hall (and an occasional one at Pound Green)
Bread & groceries - a van delivers on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Milk - delivery on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays
Buses - several buses run through the village connecting the three nearby towns of Newmarket and Haverhill. See bus services for further information.
