Cowlinge Chronicle
The Cowlinge Chronicle is a free, quarterly publication produced for the benefit of residents, past and present. It is kindly produced on an entirely voluntary basis to an extremely high standard. Much acclaim has come its way in recent years from many sources with regard to, amongst other things, its interesting and often amusing content,  lay-out and graphics  and sheer professionalism.
The editor is Christina Robson and can be contacted on:
editor.chronicle@cowlinge.suffolk.gov.uk
As with all local publications the Editor is reliant upon material coming in from as many people as possible from around the village. To this end if you have an interesting story or picture or idea or anything  then please let the editor know.
The Chronicle is economically produced in-house on the  Parish Council’s laser printer and all costs are met by the Parish Council. Several volunteers distribute the copies to every household within the village. Many hands make light work and if you would like to help to distribute the Chronicles (and thereby ease the burden on others) please contact the: clerk@cowlinge.suffolk.gov.uk
Some copies are also posted to past residents of the village who have expressed an interest to maintain links with Cowlinge. For more information on this service please contact the Clerk.

Local History Recording
The Chronicle provides an invaluable source of much information to everyone in the village and, in itself, will become a valuable source of information for generations to come, as has its predecessor the Cowlinge Courier. In addition, the village already  has an extensive history archive of the village and its inhabitants. This comes in the form of text, pictures and even sound recordings. With the help of several people in the village a superb Local History Exhibition was put on in the village hall over the August Bank Holiday weekend in 1998. Well over 350 attended the event, some coming from as far away as Australia and America. Many people loaned/donated items to the exhibition and all the information has been noted down for the archive. Where possible copies were taken so that all the information is available and remains in the village or at the local library archives.  Anyone wishing to see the archive or if you have anything that you think might be of interest, then you can get in contact via the Clerk.
